Many of us, who have started to notice the signs of aging staring back at us in the mirror, are searching for a product line to help us stop them! There are many products out there that claim to do just that, but how do we know which are worth our money? A good place to start is with an esthetician or a dermatologist. They are the best at recommending which products are best for your skin type.

I recently tried the GlyMed Plus Age Management Skin Care System ®. This is a system that uses multiple steps as part of your skin care routine. Step one: cleanse, Step two: treat, Step three: moisturize, Step four: protect.

An esthetician helped me choose which product from the GlyMed plus skin care line would be best for the results that I was looking for. The GlyMed Mega-Purifying Cleanser was selected to be my daily cleanser. This product is great! The cleanser is gentle, non-irritating, and leaves the skin feeling fresh – not dry. I have also been free from blemishes while using this cleanser.

Because I was looking for a product that would help with early signs of aging and acne scars, my esthetician selected the AHA Accelerator with glycolic and lactic acid. This product is very light and leaves no residue on the skin. For the first few weeks, I used this product every other day to prevent irritation. It did cause a slight burning sensation with the first few applications. Yet now I use it daily with no irritation, over-drying, or burning.

The moisturizer that I used in step three was the Ultra-Hydro Gel. This moisturizer was fantastic. It was very lightweight and did not make my skin feel or appear oily. Step four is a very important step in the GlyMed skin care line protection. It is very important to protect the skin from further environmental damage, especially if you are using a product with alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). AHAs can make your skin more vulnerable to sun damage due to the cell turnover that it causes.

After using this product line for over two months, I was very happy with the results. My skin looks and feels healthier. My make-up looks better, and I feel like I need less of it due to my blemish free complexion.
